Gerry's dnata recently hosted its Karachi annual Iftaar dinner (Dawat-e-Iftaar) at Movenpick Hotel, Karachi.

The event was arranged to celebrate the Muslim month of Ramadan. The tradition of breaking fast amongst friends, neighbours and the business community has been part of the Islamic tradition for centuries.

The reception was attended by Mr.Brian Heath, U.S. Consul General, Mr. Zafar Aitemad Siddiqui, Airport Manager, valued customers of Gerry's dnata, officials from Civil Aviation Authority and Customs.

The event started at 6:30 pm with the arrival of Guests, the venue of the event was Ballroom A. All the arriving guests were welcomed and received by management of Gerry's dnata. More than 140 participants from aviation industry attended this event. The Iftaar was served right after the Maghrib azaan, followed by a sumptuous dinner.

Iftaar in Karachi was the first of the series of iftaars which were hosted by Gerry's dnata in each of the other six cities in which it operating. The events took place between 18th to 25th June in their respective cities.
